SUMMER CAMP 2017

Its that time of the year again where the most important event of the club’s year is about to begin – PONY CAMP!

The residential pony camp is running this year from Monday 10th July – Wednesday – 12th July, at Lee Valley Equestrian Centre, Kilcondy, Crookstown, Co. Cork. Should prove to be a brilliant week in with loads of activities planned.

So!!  To all you memebers who will be Glamping it this year just a few reminders –

– Read and re-read the camp information sheet and make sure that you don’t forget anything.

– Camp rules – read, read, read – need I say anymore!! – As we are on both grass and sand for the duration those of you whose ponies have stud holes – bring the studs!

– Don’t forget the first morning is the turn out day so club jerseys/jackets etc.

THE RUNNING ORDER FOR THE MINIMUS & JNR. TETRATHLON COMPETITIONS ON THE 20TH MAY AT KILGUILKEY HOUSE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

FIRST PONY OUT AT 9AM SHARP

STARTING WITH THE:

JNR. TETRATHLON

HC (Both Minimus & Tetrathlon)

MAIN MINIMUS UNDER 12’S

MINI MINIMUS UNDER 10’S

XC ONLY

CHILDREN ARE TO PRESENT FOR TACK INSPECTION 20 MINS

MINIMUS – CHECK LIST

MINIMUS AT KILGUILKEY 26TH MAY 2018

Below is a check list of the various items which need to be in order for the trial minimus competition on the 26th May at Kilguilkey.

Passports – Please make sure that your ponies passports are up to date vaccinations wise etc.

Medical Arm Bands with current membership card – If you do not have a medical armband you can purchase one in O’Brien’s Saddlery.

X Country Bibs – again these can be got in O’Brien’s Saddlery.

Back Protectors – BETA Level 3 – 2009.

Skull Caps for cross country.

Hat Silks – Club Silk Yellow.

Self Tying Stock and shirt (no stock pin)

X Country Tops (if you have not received these yet, a yellow top would be great.  The top must have long sleeves).

White/Beige Jodpurs (Make sure riding boots are clean).

Numnah – White square (no writing or colour bands around edge).

Stirrups – no safety stirrups.

Girls – hairs in hair net and all jewellery removed.

If the ponies have stud holes in their shoes use studs.

All ponies have to be turned out properly, tails washed and manes platted.

All tack has to be fitting properly, cleaned properly and be in good order.
